Disclosure Policy

Newb Gardener is a personal blog written and edited by me.  The views, opinions, and experiences expressed within and on related social media are strictly my own.

You may have noticed my little note on my posts and pages about affiliate links.  In fact, that may be why you found yourself here.  I (and my good friends over at the Federal Trade Commission) would like to let you know that by purchasing products through my links, I may get a small commission.  Participation in affiliate programs help support me so that I can keep bringing you the glorious, somewhat helpful, and hopefully entertaining content you find here on Newb Gardener.  There is no additional charge to you should you decide to make a purchase through my links.  Here are the affiliate programs I participate in:

    • Amazon Associates.  In fact, they would like for me to give you a (legal) message: Newb Gardener is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for me to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.
  • And that’s it for now.  I’ll let you know if I add more.

My philosophy

Honesty and openness are very important to me as I’m sure they are to you.  I will only recommend products that I have personally used or truly think could be helpful in your gardening pursuits.

Because I’m such an amazing gardener, it’s possible at some point that companies may want to give me free product to try in the hopes of mentioning it on my blog or social media.  While appreciated, this will in no way influence my opinions or obligate me to make positive mention of the product anywhere.  If I do mention a product I received for free, I will makes sure you know that is the case.

In general, if I’m doing anything with Newb Gardener and related media involving personal compensation for product and/or services, it will be fully disclosed to you.
