My name is Alice, and I’m so happy to have you here!
After a dedicated summer of learning and attempted growing (not to mention MANY other attempts throughout the years), I started Newb Gardener as a means to share my journey with others and consolidate all the information about various gardening/landscaping projects in the hopes that others would find it useful. Or at the very least amusing. I think as beginners, gardening can seem overwhelming. There are just so many tips, tricks, and gardening secrets that seem complicated or contradictory. Or it feels like you missed a memo on background info to even know what the heck people are talking about (at least that’s been my experience). It makes it difficult to know where to even start. I hope you’ll stick with me as I weed through (ha!) all of that information to learn what really matters for beginners and what doesn’t.
But getting back to the fun part… Gardening is so much fun! No matter my growing outcomes, I always learn a ton and have a great time in the process. And I sincerely hope that joy comes through in my writing and inspires you to dabble in gardening yourself.
